Why Digital Nature ?

After several years of a sedentary lifestyle I started a simple blog with the intention of getting myself off the couch, exploring new locations, and teaching myself digital photography. It worked.

The son of a gamekeeper who had also worked in environmental research for several years, albeit as a data modeller, it was embarrassing to realise how little I knew about the natural world. Fortunately this is the 21st century and with YouTube, smartphone apps such as Merlin, and the various social media networks, it has never been easier to learn a topic of interest. This is my continuing journey exploring the natural world though digital technology.

My current kit is based around the OM systems weather sealed micro four thirds range. An OM1 Mk2  with a 300mm F/4 prime lens is my default configuration.
