On another grey day in North Yorkshire as I paid my first visit to Fewston Reservoir in a few months.

Luckily my spirits were raised by spotting some new fungi growth growing high in a tree*, and by watching a passing mandarin duck. Both were a wonderful splash of colour on an otherwise dreary day.

* That is a phrase I never thought I would write! Photography is wonderful for getting you to look at things in completely new ways.
