Amazing, is that an actual blue sky?

Sunrise through dense trees behind a wooden fence with a green sign. The scene feels tranquil, with long shadows and warm light.
A muddy path winds through a lush green forest with tall, leafless trees under a clear blue sky, creating a serene and peaceful scene.
Fungi with layered, fan-shaped caps cover a decaying log in a forest. Colors include earthy browns, greens, and whites.

My third return to Nidd Gorge (there was too much rain on the second trip to even take the camera out) was greeted by a wonderful blue sky. Being relatively early I managed to get my first sunburst as the sun edged over the gorge and did not even mind that the exposure is a bit dark. Taking some pictures of the extremely rare blue sky I also tried some initial fungi shots with an obliging fallen log.

You may have noticed that my practice pictures have been a bit light on wildlife of late. The simple reason is that I bought my Canon R10 with the longer 18-150mm kit lens, but unsurprisingly this does not have a fraction of the reach of my old Lumix Bridge camera. Fortunately help will soon be on the way in the form of a Canon RF 100-400mm full frame zoom lens.
